Try to imagine a CEO fraud like this. As an employee, you are receiving an email from your CEO telling you to provide him with the financial credentials of the company. Or perhaps, they are asking you to wire a specific amount of money for specific account. Now, if this is something that your boss usually does then it might actually not seem very strange. At the same time, it is the kind of request but that was most certainly make at some point.

This is basically how the fraud happens. The people behind it are criminals and they are asking for access to the company’s money. So, you need to make sure that you are going to be able to spot the difference in discourse, report the crime early on.

ALWAYS COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CEO FOR THESE MATTERS

Right waiting to spot the difference will be to basically ask your boss to confirmation on whether they actually send you the email or not. Basically, learning exactly how your boss talks in emails is the right way for you to go in order for you to determine whether we are talking about a fraud or not.

It is always a good idea for companies to have access to Internet security companies in order for them to be able to take care of these matters the moment they appear. Make sure that you will report the crime as soon as possible in order to avoid being scammed again.
